John-Kenny currently lives with his mother, his four year old sister, uncle, aunt and grand-parents. His mother sells goods at the local market and earns an average of $70 per month. John-Kenny suffered from malaria and typhoid, and his health remains fragile. He walks  an hour everyday to come to school and the same distance to go back home.
